Stand with Cambodia — Together for Our Future

A new year is a fresh start

A new year is a fresh start

A new year is always the best time to begin a new chapter in life. People often set limits and goals for themselves in hopes of achieving more in the coming year. There is a popular saying, “New year, new me,” which reflects the strong desire to improve and make differences. This year, I have three resolutions that I plan to achieve: saving more money, getting better grades in Khmer school, and becoming a better person.
The reason I chose these resolutions is because they are important for my future. First, I want to start saving money for future expenses such as school trips or buying gifts. If I have my own savings, I can become more independent and learn how to manage my spending more carefully. This will help me develop good financial habits in the future and make me become less dependent on my parents.
Second, I want to achieve better grades because I am currently getting Cs, and I hope to improve to Bs. My parents want me to do better in school so that I can have more opportunities and a better life in the future. This motivates me to study harder and take my education more seriously so that I won’t disappoint my parents.
Lastly, I want to become a better person by helping others whenever I can and by gaining merits. I believe that doing good deeds will help me grow as a person and lead to a better future. This goal is not easy because it requires patience, kindness, and self-discipline. However, I will try my best to act positively, help people around me, learn from my mistakes and make good choices in my daily life.e
In conclusion, I am stronger convinced that this upcoming new year would give me a fresh start and a chance to improve myself. By saving money, working harder in school, and becoming a better person, I hope to grow and become more responsible. Although these goals may take time and effort, I believe that with determination and consistency, I can achieve them and make this year meaningful. After all, if the new year is a fresh start, what kind of person do you want to become next year?
